Rhythm, space and harmony
François Goffinet prefers a classical approach which respects the tradition of the art of gardening; this is why he gives rigorous and careful attention to every detail.
Dawned from an encounter with an owner and his dreams, but also with a site and the feelings it brings, his projects are all about rhythm, space and harmony. For him, this harmony of body and soul in a garden is essential as it is the duty of a landscape designer to create these subtle emotions, this calming and reassuring sensory balance.
His projects are always refined on the site: with the help of bamboos placed on the ground or vertically to achieve a harmonious relationship between the human dimension (length of the bamboo) and the garden space, François Goffinet creates, fully concentrated, a plan with human resonance.
The selection of the appropriate vegetation is then entrusted to a botanist who chooses the plants according to the type of soil, micro-climates, sunshine, and the themes chosen for the garden. Finally, with his landscape architect and colourist he draws specific planting plans in which the future development of the vegetation is taken into account. His smooth colour chart is based on the changing seasons.
